Giant Creative is a recently established animation studio dedicated to the design, direction and production of high end animated content for advertising, T.V shows and short films. They cater for a broad range of styles and are always working on original and innovative projects that push in new and exciting directions. Here are a few of their projects.

Google Street View stop motion animation short made as a personal project by director Tom Jenkins.
Story: A lonely desk toy longs for escape from the dark confines of the office, so he takes a cross country road trip to the Pacific Coast in the only way he can – using a toy car and Google Maps Street View.

Morph. The evolution of Science Channel. Morph is fun, original and always unexpected. It can be microscopic or planetary in scale, but most importantly, Morph is always changing.
Using the new Morph logo designed by Discovery, we(I.F.) created a variety of themed elements – from promos and network IDs to logo bugs. We carried the look across multiple programming genres, as well as systematizing the brand to maintain a cohesive brand package.
Morph represents the future of logo design. It’s not limited to the traditionally static logos of the past. It breaks out of the box. That’s Morph.

A road trip straight through Israel. Had no idea what the complexities and diversity of the cultures were, but I got deeper and deeper, seeing all walks of life living together in this amazing land. The conglomerate of things happening in that tiny, but EPIC country (it’s smaller than New Jersey!) packed a punch like a bustling beehive. I was overwhelmed and totally let Israel envelope me. I bonded with every flavor of person there… they were all Israeli. They were all beautiful people. (By the way, the title isn’t spelled wrong, lol…read it again

Here’s a “fair” test between the iPhone 4S and the Canon 5D MK II. I made a little rig that allowed me to shoot both cameras at the same time side by side. All scenes are perfectly synced together so you can pause and scrutinize the frames! See photo of the makeshift rig in the photo area.
Exposure, shutter speed, frame rate and picture style were matched as close as possible between the two cameras.
This test shows that the tiny F2.4 lens and sensor on the iPhone are pretty nice. It even got a little depth of field!
I(Robino Films) did not overlay the exact ISO and Stops 5D settings per shot. It was too much to keep track for this simple test. To be fair I matched 5D exposure to the iPhone so no “Cinestyle” / 24p here.

This project was a collaborative effort that spanned countries & time zones with several artists working long hours to finally put this piece out. The passage comes from an Old Testament prophecy, taken from Ezekiel 37. Not only is the text extremely descriptive and visual, lending itself to beautiful imagery, but show that where there is death and exile, hope and life can be found.
Dry Bones would not have been possible without the extremely talented artists with loads of patience, who I had the privilege of working with.

We shot the piece entirely on the 7d and post work was done in c4d and Nuke. The project started in April with boards & CG dev, we shot in early June outside of Las Vegas, and spent June through October refining the CG as well as the composite, sound design, and color.
Dry Bones started off as a personal project of mine(DiFelice), but had it not been for Adam Devizia & the A/G picking up DB and funding a significant portion of it, it’s possible the project would have not taken flight.
